What is NeedSpace?

NeedSpace is India's first WhatsApp-first rental platform. We help property owners list rentals and tenants find homes — entirely through WhatsApp. Our AI assistant guides you through the entire process including verification, video calls, and rental guarantees.

Do I need to download an app?

No. NeedSpace works entirely through WhatsApp. Just reach out and our AI assistant handles everything. WhatsApp integration launching soon.

Is NeedSpace a broker?

No. We are a technology platform that connects owners and tenants directly. There are no brokerage fees or hidden commissions.

What does verification involve?

For owners: Government ID + live selfie + property photos (entrance, living room, bedroom, utility).
For tenants: Government ID + live selfie + employment details + income proof + previous address + reason for move.

What is a rental guarantee?

Our rental guarantee is a managed risk-sharing service that protects owners against tenant default. It is NOT insurance. Based on a tenant's verified risk score, different guarantee tiers are available.

What are the guarantee tiers?

• BASIC: Owner pays 8–10%, tenant pays 0%. Deposit allowed. 6 months coverage.
• FLEX: Both pay 3–4% each. Deposit optional. 4 months coverage.
• ZERO DEPOSIT: Tenant pays 6–8%. No deposit at all. 3 months coverage. Only for LOW risk tenants.

How is my risk score calculated?

Our proprietary weighted model considers: identity verification (30%), income stability (25%), affordability ratio (25%), residence history (10%), and behavioural score (10%).

How much do video calls and visits cost?

Video calls with owners cost ₹199. Physical property visits cost ₹999. Payment must be confirmed before any booking.

How do I get a refund?

Is my data safe?

Yes. We use encryption, mask sensitive documents like Aadhaar numbers, and follow strict access controls. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Is this insurance?

No. NeedSpace is not an insurance company. We are not registered with IRDAI. Our rental guarantee is a managed risk-sharing service, not an insurance policy. See our Not Insurance Disclosure.
